TOWSON, Md. – Three former Towson University players have made final rosters for the United Football League (UFL) inaugural opening weekend, set for March 30-31.
Darius Victor made the Memphis Showboats roster,
Tom Flacco will compete with the San Antonio Brahmas while
Elorm Lumor notched a spot with the St. Louis BattleHawks.
In addition, Towson alum and former assistant coach Collin Bauer returns to the Michigan Panthers coaching staff as the team's defensive coordinator.
The UFL will play its first season in 2024 after merging the XFL and the United States Football League (USFL). All eight teams had to finalize their 50-man rosters at the beginning of the week.
Victor was one of the top players of the USFL, being the 2022 USFL Offensive Player of the Year with the New Jersey Generals, also formerly being on practice squads in the NFL and the Canadian Football League (CFL). While at Towson, Victor was the 2013 CAA Rookie of the Year and a two-time All-CAA honoree, including First Team in 2014, rushing for 3,309 yards and scoring 41 touchdowns in his collegiate career.
In two years with Towson from 2018-19, Flacco was a two-time finalist for the Walter Payton Award for top offensive player in FCS, finishing his Tiger career with 6,082 passing yards and 50 passing touchdowns, averaging 297.8 yards of total offense per game. Flacco was on the Ottawa Redblacks practice squad in the Canadian Football League from 2021-22.
Lumor played in eight games for Towson in 2021 after transferring in from Rutgers. In his collegiate career, he played 50 games, finishing with 116 tackles and 11 sacks. Lumor returns to the Battlehawks after playing nine games with St. Louis in 2023.
