TOWSON, Md. – Another nine-point performance earns
Nick DeMaio the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Offensive Player of the Week award, announced by the league on Monday.
This is DeMaio's second CAA Offensive Player of the Week award in the last three weeks and third of his career.
Towson has earned at least one CAA weekly honor each of the last three weeks, including
Luke Downs twice being a CAA Defensive Player of the Week.
DeMaio had a pair of strong offensive performances during the week, leading Towson in points at Loyola and vs. UMBC. He totaled 13 points off six goals and seven assists, adding three caused turnovers. He began the week with two goals, two assists and two caused turnovers on the road at Loyola. Then on Saturday, DeMaio matched a career-high with nine points off four goals and five assists in the dominant home win vs. UMBC.
On the season, the San Diego, California native leads the CAA in total points with 31, having 16 goals and 15 assists.
