Brad Riley led the Black & Gold with a seventh-place finish, carding even par 71 for two rounds of play. Sky Aung had rounds of 72 and 73. The following day, Riley and Michael Matheson picked up wins during match play but Towson ultimately fell to Lafayette 3-2.

Following his performance, Riley moved up in the record books to fifth all-time in scoring average. He currently has an average of 74.36 after five years with Towson.

AT THIS TOURNAMENT 20 YEARS AGO…
At the 2004 Rutherford Intercollegiate, the Tigers ended Penn State's 12-year winning streak after capturing the event title for the first time in program history. Towson scored an 859, defeating the Nittany Lions by one stroke. During the final hole, five Tigers notched birdies to secure the win. Current head coach Mike Larkin was part of the lineup coached by Brian Yaniger alongside Billy Wingerd, Jeff Castle, Alex Brueggemann and Josh Spreng.

UP NEXT
