TOWSON, Md. – Towson women's soccer has announced the 2024 schedule on DAY. The slate features 10 homes at Tiger Field with three non-conference games against Power Five competition.
 
The Tigers are coming off their best season in program history that culminated with the team's first trip to the NCAA Tournament after winning the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) regular season and Tournament titles. Towson won a program record 15 games, finishing with a 15-3-2, 9-1-2 CAA record, including a perfect 9-0-1 slate at home. Towson took home four of the six major CAA awards including Attacking Player of the Year (Nia Christopher), Midfielder of the Year (Jasmine Hamid), Goalkeeper of the Year (Riley Melendez) and Coach of the Year (Katherine Vettori).
 
The Tigers will open the season on the road on Thursday, Aug. 15 down in Charlottesville to take on Virginia. Towson will head back north to take on UMBC on Sunday, Aug. 18 before playing five of the last seven non-conference games at home.
 
Towson makes its home debut against St. John's on Thursday, Aug. 22 before hosting George Washington three days later. After a short trek to Delaware State on August 29, the Tigers welcome SEC foe Florida (Sunday, Sept. 1) and Big Ten rival Maryland (Thursday, Sept. 5) to Tiger Field.
 
The non-conference portion of the season will end with a road trip to Penn (Sunday, Sept. 8) and a home matchup with Saint Joe's (Thursday, Sept. 12).
 
The Tigers begin their CAA title defense on the road at Drexel on Thursday, Sept. 19 before hosting Northeastern the following Thursday. Following a road trip to Long Island to face Hofstra on September 29, the Tigers host Elon and Campbell on October 3 and 6.
 
Towson will take a trip to the Carolinas to take on Charleston (Thursday, Oct. 10) and UNCW (Sunday, Oct. 13) before closing the regular season with home games against Monmouth (Sunday, Oct. 20) and William & Mary (Sunday, Oct. 27) in rematches of 2023 CAA Tournament games with a road game at Delaware (October 24) sandwiched inbetween.
 
The 2024 CAA Women's Soccer Championships start with first round action on October 31 with the semifinals and championship on November 3 and 9.
