FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Towson University Men's Golf team played the third and final round of the Doc Gimmler on the par-71 Bethpage Black Course. The Tigers would finish in 10
th place shooting +45 for the tournament after rounds of 288-289-312, with the first two rounds being played on the par-70 Bethpage Red Course.
Long Island won the tournament shooting 15-over par as a team. St. John's Peicheng Chen won individually shooting 5-under par through all three rounds, he was the only golfer to finish the tournament under par.
Sky Aung led the Tigers individually finishing tied for 15
th at 7-over par for the tournament. Aung shot 68-71-79 over the three rounds and was the only Towson golfer to shoot under par in any round.
Poon Nantsupawat tied for 24
th after shooting 70-71-79 to finish the tournament 9-over par. He parred his final five holes on round three to secure a spot in the top 25 individually.
Ariihau Faana tied for 42
nd at 13-over par for the tournament highlighted by a 1-over par second round. He shot 75-71-78 over the three rounds.
Michael Matheson shot a 76 for round three the best score of any Tiger on the Black Course. Matheson (75-76-76) finished tied for 49
th at 16-over par.
Adam Green (75-77-83) rounded out the team, he had eight consecutive pars on the Black Course and seven consecutive pars or birdies during round one.
