TOWSON, Md. – The Towson women's lacrosse team had two players selected to the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Women's Lacrosse Preseason All-Conference Team, announced by the league on Thursday afternoon. Senior midfielder Milana Zizakovic and senior defender Shannon Sullivan both claimed preseason honors.
 
The Tigers were voted to finish third in the preseason coaches poll, earned 42 points, including one first-place vote. This is Kristen Carr's second season as head coach of the Tigers.
 
CAA defending champion Stony Brook was picked as the favorite to win the CAA, receiving seven first-place votes. Drexel's redshirt junior goalkeeper Jenna Cuocco was tabbed as the CAA Preseason Player of the Year.
 
Zizakovic was named to the All-CAA Second Team and was one of nine Tigers to start all 16 games. She led the Tigers with a career-high 58 points and tied her career-high with six points three times. The senior attacker had a career-best 44 goals to lead Towson and finished with eight hat tricks. She added 14 assists and finished with multiple assists in five games. The Alberta, Canada native registered a point in 15 of the 16 games this season.
 
Sullivan led the Tigers and ranked third in the CAA in caused turnovers with 29 last season. The senior defender finished eight games with two or more caused turnovers and had a career-high five caused turnovers against Elon. She totaled a career-high 39 ground balls to rank second on the team and fourth in the conference. Sullivan finished seven games with four or more ground balls and scooped a career-high six ground balls versus USC (Mar. 1). She finished third on the team in draw controls with 31 and had ten games with two or more draw controls.
 
The Tigers start their 2025 season on Saturday, Feb.8th at 1 p.m. in Johnny Unitas® Stadium against Mount St. Mary's.
