FAIRFAX, Va. – The Towson University swim & dive teams are at the midway point of the Patriot Invite hosted by George Mason. Both the men and women's teams entered Thursday's events in second place after Wednesday's opening night relays. Thursday saw the men take over the top spot in the standings while the women remain in second entering day three.
 
How it Happened Women:

• On Wednesday, Emelia Erikson, Addie Scott, Ryland Zuniga, and Summer Bontrager set a new Patriot Invite record in the 800 free relay with a winning time of 7:20.94.
• Shannon Parrau took first in the 3-meter dive with a score of 298.8
• Scott placed second (4:52.95) in the 500 free finals with Kaitlyn Besner coming in fourth (4:55.54).
• Riley Willett finished in second place in the 200 IM finals with a time of 2:04.08.
• Bjartey Gudmundsdottir earned another second-place finish for the Tigers with a time of 23.18.
• Julianna Wahl, Megan Unruh, Besner, and Bontrager took second in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:32.97.

 
How it Happened Men:

• On Wednesday, Sean Colson, Jed Garner, Benjamin Eischeid, and Daniel McLaughlin won the 200 medley relay with a pool record time of 1:26.07.
• Aidan Clark placed fourth in the 1-meter dive with a score of 294.00.
• Stephen McDonald (4:25.33) and Christian Davidson (4:26.97) finished third and fourth respectively in the 500 free finals.
• Jed Garner swam a time of 1:45.76 to win the 200 IM.
• McLaughlin's time of 20.17 earned him fourth in the 50 free.
• McLaughlin, McDonald, Isak Brkanovic, and Eischeid placed second in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:20.10.
