FAIRFAX, Va. – The Towson University swim & dive teams have completed day three of the Patriot Invitational hosted by George Mason. The men's and women's teams remain in first and second place respectively overall entering the final day of the meet. Friday's events were highlighted by record setting performances by
Sean Colson,
Addie Scott, and the men's medley relay.
How it Happened Women:
- Riley Willett placed third in the 100 fly finals with a time of 55.71.
- Julianna Wahl posted a time of 55.99 in the 100 fly finals and came in fifth place.
- Addie Scott won the 200 free with a Patriot Invite record 1:47.72.
- Emelia Erikson (1:51.19) and Ryland Zuniga (1:52.27) finished third and fourth in the 200 free finals.
- Britney Denny swam a time of 4:27.40 to take fourth in the 400 IM finals.
- Scott, Willett, Wahl, and Erikson placed fourth in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:47.30.
- Shannon Parrau completed a sweep of the diving events with a winning score of 269.55 in the 1 meter dive.
How it Happened Men:
- Sam Tennell won the 3 meter dive scoring 326.60.
- Benjamin Eischeid took second in the 100 fly finals with a time of 47.14.
- Christian Davidson finished third in the 400 IM finals posting a time of 3:58.57.
- Stephen McDonald (1:38.19) and Daniel McLaughlin (1:39.27) placed third and fourth respectively in the 200 free finals.
- Jed Garner won his second event in as many days with a time of 52.65 in the 100 breast.
- Sean Colson broke the meet record and his own Towson record in the 100 back with a time of 47.23.
- Colson, Garner, Eischeid, and McDonald set a new Aquatic and Fitness Center record in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:10.72.
