Jed Garner and
Shannon Parrau have received Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) honors for their performances at the Patriot Invite this past weekend. Garner has been named CAA Co-Men's Swimmer of the Week while Parrau is the CAA Women's Diver of the Week.
Jed Garner earns his second weekly award of the season after winning three individual events and two relays to help lead Towson to its first team Patriot Invitational Championship. The junior won the 100 breast and 200 IM finals with CAA best times of 52.65 and 1:45.76 respectively. Garner also took the top spot in the 200 breast with a time of 1:53.19 that is an NCAA A cut and currently ranks as the 21
st best time in the country. He also swam the breaststroke leg of the winning 200 medley and 400 medley relay teams that both set pool records.
Shannon Parrau receives her third weekly honor of the season after sweeping the boards for the second consecutive invitational and helping lead Towson to a second-place finish at the Patriot Invite. The senior won the 3-meter dive with a score of 298.80 before taking the top spot in the 1-meter dive as well with a score of 269.55.
