Virginia Beach, Va. - The Towson University track & field team is set for the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Indoor Championships on Feb. 26 and 27 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va.
Last year, Northeastern women's track and field team took home the title at the 2024 CAA Indoor Championships after accumulating 119.5 points. Elon took second place with 95 points and Campbell rounded out the podium in third with 90 points.
Towson Track & Field finished in fourth place with 70 points – the highest finish for the Tigers in program history.
Leeann Redlo placed 2nd overall in the high jump with a mark of 1.73m to earn All-CAA Honors.
Cristal Cuervo set a PR 54.25 in the 400m dash to clinch the event title.

Facility: Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va.
Field: Towson will be joined by Campbell, Charleston, Delaware, Elon, Hampton, Hofstra, Monmouth, North Carolina A&T, Northeastern, Stony Brook, UNCW and William & Mary.
Ticket Information: Two-day passes, which provide admission to the entire championship, are $35 for adults and $20 for youth (6-12). Single-day passes are $20 for adults and $10 for youth (6-12). Students may purchase tickets for $10 per day or $15 for both days using a valid student ID at the box office. Children ages 5 and under are granted free admission. Regular Season Recap
The Black & Gold set six new school records, made over twenty all-time marks and picked up even more PRs throughout the 2025 indoor season. Towson opened its campaign at the Youree Spence Garcia Invitational hosted by St. Johns in Queens, N.Y.
Cristal Cuervo (38.46) and
Maya Tucker (38.81) both set program records at this meet in the 300m Dash.
Piper Jons set a program record in the 600m, running a 1:32.17.
At the VCU Indoor Invitational on Jan. 12, the Tigers took home five gold medals and two silver medals. Towson also claimed four gold medals at the Catholic Cardinal Classic on Jan. 18, not even a week later. At the Dr. Sander Scorcher from Jan. 24-25,

Rebekka Hillier set a Towson record in the Distance Medley Relay – making them the first DMR team in school history to run the event in under 12 minutes with a time of 11:59.18.
Piper Jons also set school records in the 200m (23.60) and the 400m (53.70). The following week, Jons was recognized by the CAA as Track Athlete of the Week.
At the Patriot Games on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1,
Baara Stewart grabbed gold in the 1000m with a time of 2:58.78 - the third fastest time in Towson history in this event.
Leeann Redlo placed second in the Pentathlon with a final score of 3387.
Chayce Bryson finished first in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.29m. The following week,
Leeann Redlo was recognized by the CAA as Field Athlete of the Week.
To round out the team's regular season, the Tigers split off to compete in the NSU Indoor Pre-Nationals and the Boston University Valentine Invitational from Feb. 14-15.
