th season as the Tigers welcome Coppin State, Bryant and Colgate for the annual DeMarini Tiger Clash from Thursday to Sunday.

Scouting the Opponents:
- Bryant have started the season with a 3-6 record so far coming off a 34-17 record last season and a 3 seed in the America East Tournament. The Bulldogs have four players batting over .300 in the first nine games with sophomores Laniya Lewis and Makenna Coleman leading the team with 2 homeruns each. Bryant is lead on the mound by freshman Maddy Wachter who sports a 2.70 ERA in 23.1 innings with 21 strikeouts.
- Colgate is 3-7 to begin the 2025 season after a pair of wins over North Carolina A&T at the Sparkle City Invite. The Raiders finished 22-28 in the 2024 season and 8-10 in Patriot League Play. Colgate is led by senior catcher Quinn Livesay, who is batting .345 with a 1.112 OPS and 2 homeruns as well as first year player Lily Haluska who leads the Raiders with a .364 batting average.
- Coppin State is 0-4 to begin the year after going 23-22 in 2024 and finishing as runner-up in the MEAC Championship. The eagles currently have four players batting over .330, headlined by junior Aniyah Haley who is batting .400 and Brooklyn Tapusoa who leads the team with 2 homeruns.
The Season in a Flash:
The Tigers began the 2025 season with a 2-3 record at the Terrier Invite hosted by Wofford University.
Madyson Peters hit 6-12 including the game winning home run in Towson's 5-2 victory over Youngstown State in her first four games back from injury.
Kristin Toland hit 5-12 with a double, triple and homerun over the weekend. Freshman
Kayla Pilson threw four scoreless innings of relief and earned her first career win in her collegiate debut weekend.
Towson's record moved to 2-6 at the Battle at the beach as the Tigers lost games against Kent State, Notre Dame, and Marist.
Kristin Toland hit 2 more homeruns to tie her for the CAA lead through two weeks with 3.
Taylor Broadbent and
Briyana Wright hit homeruns as well, and freshman
Mackenzie Gorczyca hit an RBI triple for her first collegiate hit and run batted in.
The Black & Gold played three more games against George Washington, Iona, and UNC Greensboro at the UNCG Invitational.
Isabella Canesi and
Briyana Wright hit 2 homeruns each and Peters and Broadbent each hit their second home run of the season. The Tigers racked up 25 hits in a 20-16 win over George Washington before losing 15-9 against Iona and 5-0 to hosts UNCG to move to 3-8 on the season heading into the home opener.

Heading into Towson Softball's 50
th season and Head Coach
Lisa Costello's 30
th season, Towson returns three of its top five batting averages from last season in Junior
Cara Bohner (.305) and
Grace Franczyk (.287) as well as senior
Elizabeth Yoskowitz (.271). Top returners on the mound include sophomore
Amanda Medina who finished with a 3.25 ERA in 66.2 innings as a freshman, and fellow second year player
Faith McCullough who had a 3.32 ERA in 23 relief appearances. The Tigers will also see the return of redshirt senior catcher
Madyson Peters who missed the 2024 season due to injury after being named to the All-CAA First Team in 2023.

Towson welcomes nine new players to the squad this season to replace thirteen departures. The Tigers add five freshmen in Virginia natives
