Virginia Beach, Va. - The Towson University track & field team wrapped up the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Indoor Championships on Thursday. The Tigers moved up two places after day one's events to finish in sixth place after accumulating 79 points.Â
Hampton won the championship title with 110 points, followed by Elon in second place with 107.5 points. Northeastern rounded out the podium in third place with 94.5 points.
Leeann Redlo set the stage for day two of competition with a standout performance in the High Jump, finishing in second place. Clearing 1.78m, the junior not only achieved a PR but also shattered the CAA record alongside two other athletes, while tying the all-time mark in Towson program history. In the 60m Hurdles finals, Redlo finished in third place after clocking 8.77.
Kiara Murray placed seventh in the Triple Jump finals with a mark of 11.69m.
In the 400m finals,
Piper Jons set another record for the CAA and Towson with a time of 52.31. This historic performance placed Jons in 20th place in DI for this event. In the same event,
Cristal Cuervo finished in fourth place with a time of 55.05, and
Jasmine Scott finished in sixth place with a time of 55.88.
Baara Stewart grabbed fifth place in the 800m finals with a time of 2:13.08.
In the 200m finals,
Piper Jons set a third Towson and CAA record with a time of 23.20.
Cristal Cuervo finished in third place with a time of 23.73.
Maya Tucker finished in sixth place with a time of 23.91.
Lexi Mogensen,
Rebekka Hillier,
Jennifer Maxwell and
Baara Stewart finished in ninth place in the 4x800m Run finals.
Beyonka Lee set a PR in Shot Put with a mark of 12.95m, placing her tenth on the top-10 list for this event.
In the 4x400m Run finals,
Maya Tucker (57.42),
Cristal Cuervo (54.75),
Piper Jons (54.25) and
Jasmine Scott (55.71) finished in first place with a combined time of 3:42.15.

Leeann Redlo were both recognized in the awards portion of the meet.
Piper Jons was selected as the Most Outstanding Track Performer of the Championship after setting new CAA records in the 200m and 400m as well as placing first in the 4x400m Finals alongside
Maya Tucker,
Cristal Cuervo and
Jasmine Scott.
Leeann Redlo was recognized as Most Outstanding Field Performer of the Championship after placing first in the Pentathlon High Jump, taking second place in the Pentathlon overall, and tying for best CAA record in High Jump on day two. Jons' and Redlo's efforts have allowed Towson Track & Field to sweep the MVPs for the 2025 CAA Championships.
