SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. – The Towson University Men's Golf team finished the Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate in 20
th place with a 54-hole score of 57-over par (921). The Tigers finished the rain-delayed second round 30-over (318) before rebounding to shoot 3-over (291) in the third round.
Ariihau Faana was Towson's top finisher tying for 46
th place with rounds of 78 (+6) and a career best 67 (-5) in the third round. Faana's third round tied for the second-best individual round score of the tournament and featured five birdies and an eagle.
Sky Aung tied for 66
th posting a score of 13-over par. Aung shot an 81 (+9) in the second round before a posting a 10-stroke improvement 71 (-1) after birdieing three of the last seven holes.
Matt Gonnello tied for 80
th shooting 17-over par. Gonnello also saved his best golf for last as he posted a 76 (+4) in the third round after a 78 (+6) in the second round.
Poon Nantsupawat finished day two with rounds of 84 (+12) and 77 (+5) to tie for 93
rd at 23-over par. Josh Galindo shot 81 (+9) and 80 (+8) on Tuesday to finish tied for 95
th place.
