TOWSON, Md. – Towson University basketball player Khady Leye has earned Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) recognition following the conclusion of the regular season, announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
 
Leye earned a spot on the All-CAA Rookie Team after finishing the season with five double doubles, the top mark in the conference among rookies. She earned four CAA Rookie of the Week awards in the regular season, making her the Tigers' first four-time recipient since Shane Baker-Brice earned the honor four times in the 2006-07 season.
 
Leye led the Tigers in rebounds this season, averaging 7.0 rebounds per game, primarily off the bench. She finished the season as the Tigers' third-leading scorer, averaging 10.1 points per game. She added 1.2 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.4 blocks per game.
 
The Senegal native is the Tigers' first All-CAA Rookie Team selection since Allie Kubek earned the recognition following the 2020-21 season.
