TOWSON, Md. – Towson University gymnast Ava Harper has been selected as the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Rookie Specialist of the Week, announced on Wednesday.
 
Named All-EAGL First Team Vault on Monday, this is Harper's second rookie specialist weekly award, also earning the award on Jan. 15.
 
Harper had a pair of 9.8+ vaults this past week, including tying a career-high 9.850 on Friday to tie for second at the meet.  She also joined the bars rotation for the first time this season, delivering scores of 9.750 and 9.800 in succession.
 
Towson will get ready for the 2025 EAGL Championship on Saturday, March 22 at 5 p.m. in Philadelphia.
