Towson Gymnastics Concludes Regular Season at 2025 EAGL Championship

PHILADELPHIA – Despite 49+ scores in three events, the Towson University gymnastics team finished in fourth place in the 2025 EAGL Championship, finishing with a 195.675 team score.
 
Towson earned two individual awards in the meet, with Isabella Minervini winning the all-around with a 39.425 score and tying for first on uneven bars with a 9.900, plus Clara Hong taking first on the balance beam with a 9.900.
 
In addition, the postseason awards were announced.  Hong earned EAGL Scholar-Athlete of the Year while Ava Harper was recognized as EAGL Rookie Specialist of the Year.
 
Several Tigers earned spots on the EAGL All-Tournament Team: Minervini for First Team All-Around, Minervini and Callie Gardner for First Team Vault, Isabella DeCroo and Adriana Hoffman for Second Team Vault, Minervini and Lauren Keener for First Team Bars, Hong, Minervini and Celia Trotter for First Team Beam, Ana Kenefick for Second Team Beam, Hoffman for First Team Floor and Carmella Calafati, Kenefick and Minervini for Second Team Floor.
 
GW took the 2025 EAGL Tournament title with a team score of 195.950.  Tournament host Temple was second with 195.775 followed by UNH at 195.700.  LIU was fifth at 194.000.
 
How it Happened for Towson (in Rotation Order)
  • Floor (Rotation 1) – 49.250
  • Vault (Rotation 2) – 49.100
  • Bars (Rotation 4) – 48.325
    • After breaking in rotation three, Lauren Keener began with a 9.800 on the bars.
    • Towson had a couple of mis-steps, resulting in taking a 9.300 score.  Clara Hong and Chelsey Dennis had a 9.650 and 9.675 respectively to get Towson back in contention.
    • Isabella Minervini anchored the final routine with a meet-best 9.900.
  • Beam (Rotation 5) – 49.000
    • Needing a big final rotation, Towson saw Isabella Minervini score a 9.825 on the third performance. 
    • Towson continued to improve as Celia Trotter landed a 9.850, then Clara Hong earned a meet-best 9.900.
Inside the Numbers
  • Isabella Minervini earns her highest all-around performance of her Towson career at 39.425, tying for the fourth-highest score in program history.
  • After the meet, Towson was recognized for winning the EAGL regular season, having gone 4-0 in EAGL regular season meets.
