Towson, Md. - The Towson University track & field team completed its first day of the Towson Invitational.
In shot put,
Beyonka Lee secured second place with a throw of 12.48m, while
Brandi Gochenauer set a PR of 11.74m to finish fifth.
Aleah Schwartz claimed seventh place with a mark of 11.32m.
In the triple jump,
Kiara Murray finished in second place with a mark of 11.82m, while Denee Hibbert secured fourth with an 11.69m.
Chayce Bryson followed in eighth, setting a PR of 11.12m.
In the 400m hurdles,
Spencer Settle claimed third place with a season-best time of 1:03.11, followed by
Niomi Allison in fourth at 1:03.58.
Leeann Redlo rounded out the top five, setting a PR of 1:03.59.
Cristal Cuervo finished second overall in the 200m dash with a time of 24.26, followed by
Maya Tucker in third (24.30) and
Jasmine Scott in fourth. Scott's time of 24.88 marked a personal best for the junior.
Aniyah Toppin also set a PR in the event with a time of 25.57.
In the 1500m run,
Baara Stewart grabbed first place with a time of 4:40.75.
Lexi Mogensen finished second with a time of 4:41.01, placing her 8th all-time in the event.
