TOWSON, Md. – The Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) released its end-of-year honors on Wednesday afternoon. Three Tigers earned CAA postseason honors.
Milana Zizakovic and
Shannon Sullivan were named to the All-CAA First Team, while
Jenna Cardeno earned All-Rookie honors.
Milana Zizakovic | Midfielder
Milana Zizakovic earned All-CAA First Team honors for the second time in the last three seasons. Zizakovic led the Tigers with 43 goals and 64 points this season. The senior attacker ranked sixth in the CAA in goals and fourth in the conference in points. She scored a season-high six goals against William & Mary earlier this season. Zizakovic led the team in draw controls with 49, totaling four or more draw controls in eight games. She finished the second on the team in caused turnovers with 18, a career-high, while scooping up 21 ground balls.
Shannon Sullivan | Defender
Shannon Sullivan earned All-CAA First Team honors for the first time during her time at Towson. The senior defender led the Tigers with a career-best 40 ground balls. She scooped up three or more ground balls in eight games. The Wantagh, New York native led the team in caused turnovers with 24, registering a caused turnover in 13 of 15 games. She also added 22 draw controls to rank fourth on the team.
Jenna Cardeno | Goalie
Jenna Cardeno was named to the CAA All-Rookie Team. The four-time CAA Rookie of the Week ranked third in the CAA in save percentage with a .460. The Orange, Calif. native ranks 12th in the nation and second in the CAA in saves per game, averaging 10.13. Cardeno is 15th in the nation and second in the conference in saves with 162. The first-year goalkeeper ranked second on the team in ground balls with 30, scooping a season-high four ground balls against South Florida. She also added four caused turnovers.
