TOWSON, Md. – Two Towson University softball student athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Kristin Toland and
Elizabeth Yoskowitz were recognized for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.
The duo will now be on the ballot to be named Academic All-American®, which will be voted on in early June.
Kristin Toland was named to the All-CAA Second Team after batting .342 with 50 hits, over half of them for extra bases. The senior equaled the second most triples hit in a season in Towson history with seven.
Elizabeth Yoskowitz hit .316 with 37 hits and 20 runs in 52 games and 47 starts her senior year. This is Yoksowitz's third straight year receiving All-District Honors.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Student athletes must possess a minimum of a 3.50 GPA and either appear in 90 percent or start in 66 percent of their teams' games to be eligible for CSC All-Academic honors.
