JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Three Tigers from the Towson University track & field team have qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round in Jacksonville and are set to compete on Thursday and Saturday.

Maya Tucker are among the 52 individual Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) athletes that have qualified for this year's meet.

Cristal Cuervo closed out her senior year after setting six new all-time program marks and two school records during the 2025 outdoor season. Cuervo opened the season at the Black & Gold Invitational, contributing to all-time top performances in both the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. Teaming up with
Christal Pommells,
Nancy Hudson and
Maya Tucker, the 4x100m squad posted a time of 45.49 to rank 4th all-time. In the 4x400m, Cuervo joined
Baara Stewart,
Jasmine Scott and
Spencer Settle to clock 3:42.62 - the 2nd fastest time in program history. Later in the season at the Aggie Classic in Greensboro, N.C., Cuervo, alongside Tucker, Settle and Scott, broke the school record in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:37.52. At the Kehoe Twilight Invitational, Hudson, Tucker, Anani and Cuervo recorded the second-fastest 4x100m relay in program history, finishing in 44.99 - the second sub-45 performance ever for the school. At the CAA Outdoor Championships, Cuervo capped her CAA career with a school-record performance in the 400m, running a PR of 52.85.
Leeann Redlo set four all-time program records during the 2025 outdoor season. She opened the year at the Black & Gold Invitational with a PR long jump of 5.68m, ranking 9th in program history. The following day, she ran a PR of 14.31 in the 100m hurdles, moving up to 7th all-time. Redlo continued her momentum at Towson's home opener, where she improved her hurdles time to 14.08, climbing to 4th on the all-time list. At the 2025 CAA Outdoor Championships, she earned a podium finish in the heptathlon with 4,884 points – securing 2nd place overall and the second-highest score in Towson history in the event.
Maya Tucker produced seven all-time Towson records and two school records during the 2025 outdoor season. At the Black & Gold Invitational, she joined
Cristal Cuervo,
Christal Pommells and
Nancy Hudson to run the fourth-fastest 4x100m relay in program history with a time of 45.49. Tucker later posted a PR of 55.83 in the 400m at the Towson Twilight Senior Meet, ranking sixth all-time. At the Aggie Classic, she helped set a school record in the 4x400m relay - teaming up with
Spencer Settle,
Jasmine Scott and Cuervo to clock 3:37.52. At the prestigious Penn Relays, Tucker, Scott, Settle and
Baara Stewart set the school record in the sprint medley relay with a time of 3:58.06. At the Kehoe Twilight Invitational, Tucker, Hudson, Anani, and Cuervo recorded the second-fastest 4x100m relay in school history at 44.99 - marking just the second sub-45 performance for the Tigers.
