Leavy, Lane to Compete for Australia Sixes in 2025 World Games

TOWSON, Md. – Towson University student-athlete Ocea Leavy and assistant coach Rebecca Lane will be competing for the Australian Sixes Team in the upcoming 2025 World Games, announced by the team on Friday.
 
Each have experience with Australia on the national level.  Lane returns to the Sixes roster after competing with the team in the 2022 World Games as well as the Senior National Team in the 2022 World Championship while Leavy was a member of the U20 Australia team in 2024.
 
Leavy started all 16 games for Towson this past season in the midfield, finishing with 21 goals and 17 ground balls.  The 2023 CAA All-Rookie Team member has played 49 games for Black & Gold over the past three years.
 
Lane just completed her second season as an assistant coach at Towson.  She was also part of the Team Australia team which finished second in the 2025 Asia-Pacific Women's Lacrosse Championship.
 
The 2025 World Games will be in Chengdu, China, the fourth largest city in the country, from August 7-11.  Australia earned a third-place finish in the 2022 World Games in Alabama, its second bronze medal finish in as many World Games competitions.
