EMMITSBURG, Md. - The Towson University women's cross country team is set to kick off its season at the Mount 5k Duals, hosted by Mount St. Mary's on Friday, August 29.

Towson opened last season with back-to-back wins at the Baltimore Metro Meet and the Delaware Sting Invitational. The Tigers carried their momentum into the University of Delaware Invitational the following weekend, picking up a second-place finish. Then-sophomore
Baara Stewart clocked a time of 19:14.20 in the 5k, breaking into the top ten among nine Blue Hens and securing the 10th-fastest time in program history on the course.
Over their next two meets, Towson picked up 13 personal records as well as another second-place finish at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational. At the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championship, the Tigers improved by 46 points from their 2023 performance to place 8th overall and earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals.
