TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's soccer team will travel to Lewisburg, Pa. to play Bucknell on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Tigers and Bisons have not played each other since 2022, a Towson win at home 2-0. Towson trails in the all-time series 5-7-1 but have a 3-2-1 record in Lewisburg but are 0-2-1 in the last three road games. The last road win for Towson against Bucknell came on Oct. 1, 2000. The Bisons (2-5-1) are coming off a 1-0 loss to No. 16 Georgetown. The Hoyas won on a penalty kick goal with three minutes left on the clock. The match can be watched on ESPN+.

In their last time out, the Tigers earned their first win on the road against George Washington. The 2-0 win was started by the first collegiate goal by
Emma Levin and first collegiate assist by
Jaelyn White. White has seen a more prominent role in the two most recent games, having played 166 minutes without seeing the opposing team score a goal. The left back has been slotted into the role of width creator in the offensive third. The second goal was scored by
Sydney Feiler when
Kale'a Perry managed to get a cut back to
Sophie Thibeault who redirected it to Feiler who put the ball across the frame and into the back of the net. The game also saw
Teagan Gardner earn her second clean sheet of the season.

Maja Hansson and
Demi Pierre, six starters return from the 2024 squad that went undefeated during the month of October – finishing that stretch with four wins and three ties, including three of the top four point producers:
Sophie Thibeault (7 goals, 2 assists),
Malin Bernt Schöps (4g, 1a) and
Kale'a Perry (2g, 3a). Three other starters, midfielder
Emma Levin and defenders
Brooke Birrell and
Sydney Lindeman, also return.
Towson was picked to finish fourth in the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) North Division in the preseason coaches' poll – behind Stony Brook, Monmouth and Hofstra and ahead of Northeastern and Drexel. Starting this season, CAA women's soccer has been separated into two divisions, North and South. Each team will play all teams in its division plus four matches against the other division. The top three teams in each division will qualify for the 2025 CAA Championship.
FRESH FACES
Towson welcomed nine new players this season, five freshman and four transfers: defenders
Gracen Houck, (Morehead State) and
Emma Kirkpatrick (Rhode Island), forward
Luisa Navas Gonzalez (Mount St. Mary's) and midfielder
Emely Rubio (Campbell). The four bring 181 games of collegiate experience from their previous institutions. Rubio and Houck spent the 2025 spring semester with Towson.
SCOUTING BUCKNELL
The Bisons have scored 12 goals this season, seven have come from two people. Henna Andican has four goals and Katie Connell has three goals. Andican posted a brace at Saint Francis. Both Towson and Bucknell have played Delaware this season. The Tigers played the Blue Hens to a 2-2 draw while the Bisons lost 2-1.
NEXT UP
Towson returns home on Thursday, Aug. 18 for Senior Day against Hampton. The game is also the conference opener. The Pirates were picked to finish last in the South Division of the CAA but have already surpassed their record for single season wins.
