FARMINGTON, Pa. - The Towson University men's golf team wrapped up play at the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday, hosted by West Virginia University. The Tigers moved up three spots to finish in 15th place after rounds of 304-297-286 for a total score of 887 (+23).
West Virginia claimed the title after accumulating a total of 828 (-36). Western Carolina moved up two spots to claim second after posting a combined 846 (-18). Seton Hall and James Madison both finished at 847 (-17) to claim third place.
Sky Aung led the Tigers on the final day, moving up 22 spots to finish tied for 26th place after shooting 68 (-4) in the third round. Aung's score ties for his second lowest collegiate round, featured by six birdies.
Michael Matheson jumped 25 spots from yesterday's finish to tie for 51st place after carding 69 (-3) in the final round, tallying four birdies. Like Aung, Matheson's score additionally ties for his second lowest collegiate round.
Ariihau Faana (73, +1) and
Jai Sheth (76, +4) both finished tied for 72nd, while
Poon Nantsupawat wrapped up the lineup tied for 95th after posting an 82 (+10).
