WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - The Towson University men's golf team opens its fall season with a trip to New York for the Metropolis Intercollegiate hosted by Columbia University from Sept. 8-9.
The Metropolis Intercollegiate will be a 54-hole competition, with the first two rounds being played on Monday followed by the third round on Tuesday. The tournament is being contested at the Metropolis Country Club in White Plains, New York. The par-70 layout will play at 6,878 yards.
Towson will be joined by Richmond, Lafayette, Fairleigh Dickinson, Yale, Iona, Siena, North Dakota State, Columbia, Holy Cross, Fordham, St. John's (New York), Connecticut, Dartmouth and Bryant.

Spring Season Recap
Towson opened last season at the Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate in Southern Pines, N.C. Junior
Ariihau Faana was the team's top finisher after posting a career best 67 (-5) in the third round. The Tigers then traveled to Williamsburg, Pa. for the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate, where Towson secured an eighth-place finish.
Sky Aung tied for 15th after posting the fourth best third round of the tournament and the best round score from a Tiger, shooting 69 (-2).
The Black & Gold continued their season at the Testudo Cup in April at the P.B. Dye Golf Club in Ijamsville, Maryland. Aung tied for 10th place after rounds of 73-67-76 to finish even-par. To close out their regular season, Towson competed in the Rutherford Invitational hosted by Penn State. Senior
Jai Sheth secured his first top ten finish of his career after tying for 8th place after rounds of 69-75-70 to finish 1-over par. At the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championship, the Tigers placed 8th.
