STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Towson University track & field team closed out the Penn State National on Saturday, highlighted by five additional all-time performances and another school record from junior Baara Stewart in the 600m on day two of competition.
Field Events
Senior Kiara Murray led the Tigers in the triple jump, placing fifth overall with a mark of 11.93m. The performance ranks fourth all-time in program history.
Track Events
Freshman Jaayah Jenkins recorded a 13th-place finish in the 600m, crossing the line in 1:34.92 to rank fourth all-time at Towson. Senior Layla James also earned a top-ten finish in the event, placing 10th with a time of 1:34.65, good for third all-time.
Junior Baara Stewart continued her record-setting weekend, resetting the Towson program record in the 600m after finishing second overall in 1:31.87. The mark represents Stewart's third school record in a two-week span, following her 1000m record (2:53.54) at last weekend's Gulden Invitational and her 800m record (2:10.08) set on Friday.
In the 4x400m, the quartet of Spencer Settle (55.93), Mydison Britton (54.68), Qiora Rollins (55.05) and Stewart (54.99) combined for a time of 3:40.63, finishing second overall and ranking second all-time in program history.
