PHILADELPHIA – The Towson University gymnastics team hit 49+ scores on floor and bars, just being short of a 49 on vault, in a tri-meet second place finish at Penn with a team score of 194.825.
Penn took the meet victory at 195.550. Towson defeated neutral site opponent West Chester, which had a 192.450.
Towson had 49+ scores on floor with 49.175 and bars with 49.050, the latter being the top bars score of the meet. Towson also had the top score in vault with a 48.950.
Isabella Minervini earned a 9.950 on bars, tying for third all-time in Towson history on that event. She also finished tied for first on the floor with a 9.875, tying with teammate
Carmella Calafati.
Adriana Hoffman had the top score on vault at 9.875.
How it Happened for Towson (in Rotation Order)
- Bars (rotation one) – 49.050
- Towson broke out of the gate well, beginning with three consecutive 9.725+ scores, including on third spot, a career-high for Piper Slocum with a 9.775.
- Lauren Greene followed Slocum by tying her career-high of 9.875. After another 9.7 score by Towson, Isabella Minervini dazzled the crowd with a 9.950, just .025 shy of her career-high, to secure Towson's 49+ team score on bars.
- Beam (rotation two) – 47.650
- Needing to recover on an early fall, Towson got a big score from Natalie Lindgren with a 9.800, tying a career-high.
- Another fall forced Towson to take a 9- score. The Tigers finished strong with Celia Trotter's 9.700 and Brissa Portillo hitting a 9.675.
- Floor (rotation three) – 49.175
- Vault (rotation four) – 48.950
- After Towson began with a couple of 9.7+ scores to start vault, Adriana Hoffman hit a career-high 9.875 to the celebration of the team.
- Jocelyn Lannon hit a 9.825 on the fourth spot as Towson narrowly missed getting another 49+ team score.
Inside the Numbers
- Isabella Minervini wins the all-around for the seventh time in as many meets, this time getting a 38.475 score. It is her second straight meet finishing tied for first on floor.
- Adriana Hoffman wins the vault for the second time this year, last winning on Jan. 9, while Carmella Calafati finishes first on floor for the first time in 2026.
Next Meet
- Next Sunday, Feb. 22, Towson will compete in a quad-meet at GW at 1 p.m., also taking on Eastern Michigan and Kent State.
