TOWSON, Md. – Four Towson University gymnasts have been honored in this week's East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) weekly award selections, announced by the league on Wednesday.
Towson gets four weekly award winners after winning three of four competitions in two meets in the Greater Philadelphia area last week.
Isabella Minervini is the co-EAGL Gymnast of the Week, earning her third EAGL weekly award this season. The senior earned a pair of first-place finishes in the all-around and five event wins, including twice on bars and floor and once on beam. Her highlight came with a season-high 9.950 on bars on Feb. 15, tied for third in Towson history.
Adriana Hoffman earned EAGL Specialist of the Week for the second straight week. The senior had four scores of at least 9.775 in the two meets, including a first-place finish in the vault on Feb. 15 with a career-high 9.875, also having a 9.850 on floor that day.
Natalie Lindgren notches her second EAGL weekly award, this time being selected as EAGL Rookie of the Week. Competing on beam, floor and bars, the freshman earned three top-five finishes on the weekend, including hitting a career-high 9.800 on beam on Feb. 15, also having a 9.775 on floor that meet.
Jocelyn Lannon earns her first-ever EAGL Rookie Specialist of the Week award. The freshman competed twice in the vault over the weekend, finishing first on Feb. 13 with a career-high 9.850 then following up with a second-place finish on Feb. 15 with a 9.825.
Sunday, Feb. 22, Towson will compete in a quad-meet at GW at 1 p.m., also taking on Eastern Michigan and Fisk.
