TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team is set for week three of the 2026 softball season which will see the Tigers play one final road tournament before its home opener in two weeks. This weekend Towson enters the Pirate Clash hosted by East Carolia University from Friday, February 20 until Sunday, February 22.

Friday, Feb. 20:
- Vs. St. Bonaventure: 12:30 p.m.
- at East Carolina: 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 21:
- vs. James Madison: 10 a.m.
- at East Carolina: 12:30 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 22:
- vs. St. Bonaventure: 10 a.m.
Scouting the Opponents:
The East Carolina Pirates are 6-5 so far this season and hold victories over Notre Dame, Maryland and UNCW. Jenna Krol has 15 hits in her first 30 at-bats and Sarah Stone has 15 hits through eleven games as well.
The St. Bonaventure Bonnies are 0-9 to begin the 2026 season after finishing the 2025 season 11-35. Nolah Moyer leads the Bonnies with a .280 batting average and Lauren Dundon leads the way with four RBIs.
The James Madison Dukes are off to a 2-5 start in the 2026 season with wins over Saint Joseph's and Elon. Emily LeGrand holds a .417 batting average with three homeruns and eight RBIs through JMU's first seven games.

The Tigers scored a season high seven runs in a single inning in Saturday's game against Bowling Green. Both
Grace Franczyk and
Addie Ferguson hit three-run homeruns in the second inning.
In Towson's win over Lipscomb,
Olivia Trombley pitched Towson's first complete game of the season and
Amanda Ashe hit a pinch-hit go-ahead two run single to put Towson ahead for good.

st season at the helm off a 23-29 record and 11-16 record in the Coastal Athletic Association. Towson was picked to finish third in the North Division in the CAA preseason poll. Top returners include 2025 All-CAA Second Team and 2026 Preseason All-CAA pick

Towson welcomes twelve new players to the 2026 roster, including ten freshmen and two transfers. Newcomers from the portal are sophomore

Conference Realignment:
2026 sees the CAA conference division split put into effect. Towson, Drexel, Hofstra, Monmouth and Stony Brook make up the North Division while Campbell, Charleston, Elon, Hampton, North Carolina A&T and UNCW are the South Division. North division teams play six conference series against North teams and two against south teams. The top two teams in the standings of each division will automatically qualify for the CAA tournament while the final two spots will be determined by highest conference winning percentage of the remaining teams.
