TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in day three of the 2026 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) Championships on Friday. The Tigers won six medals for the third straight day bringing their total count to 18. Heading into the final day tomorrow the Towson men remain in second and the women remain in third.
100 Butterfly:
- Riley Willett won the consolation finals of the 100 fly at 54.26.
- Three Tigers claimed spots in the men's 100 fly championship and Benjamin Eischeid earned the first medal of day three for Towson as he took silver swimming 46.51.
- Sean Colson placed fifth in the 100 Fly championship at 47.64 and Nicco Gurri tied for seventh with a time of 47.84.
400 IM:
- Dylan Gustaff was the lone Tiger to qualify for the championship heat and placed fifth at 4:23.33.
- David Walton and Christian Davidson qualified for the championship for the men and Walton would come in fifth with a school record time of 3:50.86 followed by Davidson in eighth (3:55.79).
200 Freestyle:
- Addie Scott was the top qualifier in the 200 free prelims, and she was the top finisher in the championship as well swimming 1:47.47 to claim the first gold medal of the night for Towson. Emelia Erikson earned a championship heat spot as well and placed eighth at 1:51.70.
- Towson had two in the men's championship as well and Stephen McDonald would place fourth at 1:37.58 before Daniel McLaughlin came in seventh swimming 1:38.63.
100 Breast:
- Riley Willett was the lone Tiger in the women's championship heat and would finish fifth at 1:03.03.
- Top qualifier Jed Garner and Harry Herrera represented Towson in the men's finals and Garner would post a time of 52.12 to not only claim his first CAA gold but also to punch his ticket to the NCAA's. Herrera swam 53.29 to place fifth.
100 Back:
- Madison Neal was the top women's finisher for Towson as she placed second in the consolation finals.
- Sean Colson was back in the men's 100 back championship and jumped up a podium spot from 2025 as he took silver at 43.77.
Men's 3 Meter Dive:
- Sam Tennell found himself back on the podium as he claimed silver in the men's 3 meter after scoring 322.10.
- Aidan Clark just missed his second podium as he placed fourth after scoring 304.15.
200 Free Relay:
- The Towson women closed out day three with a fifth-place finish in the 200 free relay.
- The men grabbed the only Towson bronze of Friday's events as they swam 1:19.16 to place third.

The final day of the CAA Championships will begin with 9:30 a.m. prelims and 5:30 p.m. finals for swimming, the boards will see the women's 1 meter dive starting at noon.
