Towson Men’s Lacrosse Rises Two Spots in USILA Coaches Poll

TOWSON, Md. – Towson University's impressive win at Villanova on Saturday raised the Tigers two spots in the coaches poll, announced on Monday.

Towson went up to No. 17 in the United States Intercollegiate Coaches Association (USILA) Coaches Poll and held at No. 20 in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.  It is the second straight week Towson is ranked in each poll.

The Tigers moved up after Saturday's 17-11 victory over Villanova, scoring seven of the final eight goals of the game.  It is the third win for Towson against a team either ranked or receiving votes in the polls.

Towson is the only team in the Coastal Athletic Association ranked in either poll.

Towson begins league play on Saturday, March 21 at noon at Stony Brook.
