TOWSON, Md. – Alex Roussel historic performance on Saturday night at No. 17 Virginia continues to earn him accolades, being selected as the
USA Lacrosse Magazine Men's Division I Player of the Week, announced on Tuesday.
This is the third straight year where a Towson player has earned a
USA Lacrosse Magazine Men's DI Player of the Week selection.
Mikey Weisshaar earned one in 2025 while Nick DeMaio picked up one in 2024.
Roussel started off the week with a hat trick in a mid-week contest at Loyola. He followed by setting career-highs in points with nine, goals with five and assists with four, adding three ground balls in the win at Virginia.
On the season, the senior from Toronto, Ontario, Canada has 15 goals and five assists in six games, having at least a hat trick in four contests this season. He stands in the top-20 in DI in shot percentage (48.4%) and man-up goals (3).
On Saturday, March 14, Towson will play at Villanova at noon.
