TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team continues its 15-game home homestand this midweek as the Tigers are set two host Delaware State on Tuesday, March 9 at 2 p.m. before another 2 p.m. game on Wednesday, March 10 when Towson welcomes Mount St. Mary's to Tiger Softball Stadium.
Scouting the Opponents:
The Delaware State Hornets are 4-9 so far in 2026 with wins over Mount St. Mary's and IU Indy. Mianna Lopez Del Haro is batting .321 and leads the team in hits, extra base hits and RBIs.
The Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers are 4-12 on the season and hold victories over Elon and Hampton. Tristin Koerner and Kelsie Bandelow are both batting over .320 with at least seven RBIs.
Last Week Highlights:
The Tigers went 4-0 for the second straight weekend after beating Central Connecticut State twice and UMass Lowell and Coppin State once. Towson is currently on an eight-game win streak which is its longest since the 2018 season.
Olivia Trombley in two starts last weekend threw 13.0 innings scoreless innings and allowed only six hits while striking out 19 batters.

Conference Realignment:
2026 sees the CAA conference division split put into effect. Towson, Drexel, Hofstra, Monmouth and Stony Brook make up the North Division while Campbell, Charleston, Elon, Hampton, North Carolina A&T and UNCW are the South Division. North division teams play six conference series against North teams and two against south teams. The top two teams in the standings of each division will automatically qualify for the CAA tournament while the final two spots will be determined by highest conference winning percentage of all the remaining teams from both divisions.
