TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team is set to host Morgan State for a midweek non-conference contest on Wednesday. The 3 p.m. game is the final midweek game of the season for the Tigers.
Scouting the Opponent:
The Morgan State Bears are 9-25 in 2026 and hold a 6-12 MEAC conference record. The Tigers defeated the Bears twice during the TU DeMarini Invite in February and March by scores of 11-3 and 8-4. Millie Cousins and Olivia Gerner are both batting over .300 while Hunter Newman paces the bears with six homeruns.
Tiger Notes:
Kallissa Coats made her first career conference start on Friday against Monmouth and recorded two hits and an RBI.
Alyssa Myint hit 3-4 on Saturday with two doubles and a triple, Myint is now tied for second in the CAA with four triples on the season.
Mackenzie Gorczyca had a 3-4 day on Sunday, the sophomore has the second highest batting average on the Tigers at .336.

Conference Realignment:
2026 sees the CAA conference division split put into effect. Towson, Drexel, Hofstra, Monmouth and Stony Brook make up the North Division while Campbell, Charleston, Elon, Hampton, North Carolina A&T and UNCW are the South Division. North division teams play six conference series against North teams and two against south teams. The top two teams in the standings of each division will automatically qualify for the CAA tournament while the final two spots will be determined by highest conference winning percentage of all the remaining teams from both divisions.
