TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University softball team is set to host George Mason for a midweek non-conference game on Tuesday. The game is currently scheduled for a 3 p.m. start.
Scouting the Opponent:
The George Mason Patriots are 19-17 overall on the 2026 season and are 7-8 in A-10 play coming off a weekend sweep of St. Bonaventure. Tess Altevers Harris has a 1.227 OPS and leads the team with 20 extra base hits already this season. Abbey Lane has a 2.82 ERA in 101.2 innings so far this year.
Tiger Notes:
Kaci Benton hit her team leading eighth homerun of the year on Saturday and is tied for the CAA lead in the category.
Alyssa Myint has now made 87 consecutive starts for the Tigers dating back to last season.
Mikaela Guy pitched the longest outing of her career on Sunday going 5.0 innings not allowing a run until her fifth inning of work.

Conference Realignment:
2026 sees the CAA conference division split put into effect. Towson, Drexel, Hofstra, Monmouth and Stony Brook make up the North Division while Campbell, Charleston, Elon, Hampton, North Carolina A&T and UNCW are the South Division. North division teams play six conference series against North teams and two against south teams. The top two teams in the standings of each division will automatically qualify for the CAA tournament while the final two spots will be determined by highest conference winning percentage of all the remaining teams from both divisions.
