Heckelman, Nathison Tabbed as All-CAA Selections

TOWSON, Md. – Two Towson University baseball players earned postseason All-Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) awards following the conclusion of the 2026 season. Brian Heckelman was named the All-CAA second team catcher, while Brady Nathison was tabbed as an All-CAA honorable mention outfielder.

Heckelman earned an all-conference nod for the second straight year after slashing .300/.429/.576 with 11 doubles, 12 home runs, 34 RBIs and 40 runs scored in 49 games. The Mineola, N.Y., native demonstrated great plate discipline as he walked 29 times while striking out just 26 times this season. The senior's 23 extra-base hits were tied for the most by a Tiger this season.

Defensively, the catcher posted a .983 fielding percentage. He caught 27 of 122 runners stealing, marking a 22.1% clip. It marks the second straight year Heckelman earned an all-conference honor after being named a first team selection last May.

Nathison paced the Tigers with a .348 batting average, adding eight doubles, one triple, five home runs, 32 RBIs and 35 runs scored. The junior outfielder's .429 on-base percentage and .538 slugging percentage were team highs among qualified batters.

The North Carolina native was 10-12 on the base paths, good for the second most steals among Tiger players. In the field, Nathison sported a .958 fielding percentage.
