New York, N.Y. – Former Towson All-American
Jerrelle Benimon was one of 20 players selected to participate in the 2015 NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire. The game, which tips off at 2:30 p.m. ET at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday, Feb. 15, will air live on NBA TV.
Benimon, who is a member of the Idaho Stampede, will play for the Western Conference. In his first season as a professional, he is averaging 20.4 points, 10.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. He is among the league leaders in rebounding (4
th), field-goal percentage (5
th) and scoring (7
th).
He ranks second on the team in scoring, while leading the team in rebounding. Benimon has scored in double figures in all 31 games this season and has recorded 17 double-doubles and one triple-double. He scored a career-high 36 points on Christmas Day, and has twice pulled down 18 rebounds in a game.
