Bankston's huge performance led the Tigers to their first win in a season opener since the 2012-13 season. She exploded for 31 points, which is tied for 17th in single-game history at Towson. Bankston's performance allowed the Tigers to score their most points in a game since 2003-04. It was Bankston's second 30-plus point performance as a Tiger and seventh in her career. Bankston was extremely efficient as she shot 73.3% (11-for-15) from the floor and 62.5% from three (5-for-8). The five three-pointers tied her career-high. Bankston also went 4-for-4 from the foul line. Bankston also contributed a team-high four steals, three assists and two rebounds.
