Morgan Mahalak had his best game as a Tiger as he went 26-of-44 for 353 yards and two touchdowns in leading Towson to a 32-31 victory over Rhode Island. Trailing by eight with 2:52 to play, Mahalak completed five-straight passes on an 80-yard drive that ended with a 20-yard TD pass. Still down two with 58 seconds left, Mahalak and the Tigers got the ball on their own nine with no timeouts. He completed three big passes and spiked the ball with one second to set up the game-winning 55-yard field goal. It was the most passing yards by a Tiger since Peter Athens threw for 355 yards in 2013.
