Carly Tellekamp had a huge day to lead Towson to a 20-5 win over UMBC. She tallied a career-high six goals on seven shots and added one assist for a career-high seven points in the contest. Tellekamp scored more goals than the entire UMBC team combined, helping the Tigers tie the mark for the most goals scored in a game under head coach Sonia LaMonica.
 
Tellekamp scored four of her six goals in the first half for her fifth career hat trick. She is the first Tiger since Rhiannon Coogle in 2013 to score six goals in a game. Her seven points in the game were the most by a Tiger since Ashleigh Rohrback had nine against UC Davis in 2014.
 
This season, Tellekamp is tied for the team lead with 10 points with a team-best nine goals and one assist.
