TOWSON, Md.- The Tigers (1-6-1, 0-3-0) entered Wednesday's game against conference rival Hofstra looking for the team's first Colonial Athletic Association win of the season. However, the Pride (5-4-0, 2-1-0) overcame a 2-0 deficit and forced overtime, where Hofstra came away victorious, 3-2 in double overtime at the Tiger Soccer Complex.

Shaun Foster's goal with one second remaining in regulation tied the game and Mike Annarumma's goal in the second overtime resulted in the Pride win.

“Hofstra threw the kitchen sink at us and we have to know how to deal with that,” Towson Coach Frank Olszewski said. “This is a setback that needs to be turned into a positive.”

Enrico Skrypzak and Javier Bermudez Roa each scored for the Tigers. Bermudez Roa's goal 71:37 into the game gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead with less than 20 minutes remaining in regulation.

After Chris Griebsch responded for Hofstra to cut the Towson lead in half, Foster beat Towson goalkeeper John Steele just before time expired to tie the game, 2-2, and send the game to overtime.

Griebsch then assisted on Annarumma's game winning goal halfway through the second overtime period to give Hofstra the victory.

Towson will return to action Saturday, Oct. 8 when they will play Drexel. Opening kickoff begins at 4:00 p.m.
