Towson Falls to Drexel, 2-0

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- Looking for their first conference win of the season Saturday, the Tigers (1-7-1, 0-4-0) travelled to Drexel for a matchup with the Dragons. But Ken Tribbett and Mark Donohue each scored to help Drexel (2-7-2, 1-2-1) post a 2-0 victory.

Tribbett helped the Dragons get on the board early with a penalty kick goal 4:08 into the game to give Drexel the early 1-0 advantage.

Donohue scored late in the second half as a blocked ball found Donohue and he tapped it in past goalkeeper Angelo Viteritti for the 2-0 lead.

Towson senior goalkeeper John Steele recorded two saves for the Tigers, while Viteritti also saw time in the net and recorded three saves.

Matteo Vertucci and Phil Martinelli each recorded a pair of shots for the Tigers, who registered eight for the game. Drexel goalie Pentti Pussinen recorded two saves for the victory. He has both of Drexel's wins this season.

The Tigers will next head to George Mason Wednesday, Oct. 12 for a game against the Patriots. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
