TOWSON, Md. - The Towson University men's soccer team will play its final home game of the regular season Wednesday afternoon against the Northeastern Huskies in the Tiger Soccer Complex at 3 p.m.
The Tigers (4-9-1, 2-5-1 CAA) will honor five seniors prior to kickoff for their contributions to the program. The group includes defender Josh Danza, midfielder Trevar Ondiek and forwards Matteo Vertucci, Anthony Okodua and Phil Martinelli.
The Tigers have relied on the strength of their defense this season, as an experienced back end has helped freshman goalkeeper Felix Petermann adjust to the college game at a high level. Petermann has 60 saves this season, a mark that ranks him second in the Colonial Athletic Association.
The Towson offense has been supplied by a pair of juniors, as Enrico Skrypzak and Olakunle Banjo have each scored three goals to tie for the team lead.
However, it was junior Cameron Kidwell who scored the Tigers' only goal Saturday in a tough 2-1 loss at No. 8 Old Dominion Saturday night.
Northeastern (11-1-2 overall) sits atop the CAA standings at 6-0-1. Offensively, the Huskies are led by senior Don Anding, the league's leading scorer with 26 points.
