Towson Golf Begins Ireland Trip on Saturday

TOWSON, Md. -- The Towson men's and women's golf teams are set to embark on a seven-day trip to Ireland starting on Saturday.

Both squads will have the chance to play some of the toughest golf courses in the world during their time in Ireland.

The teams will stay in Killarney for the first three days of the trip and play the Killeen Course on Sunday, March 16. The Killeen Course hosted the Irish Open in both 2010 and 2011.

On Monday, the Tigers will take a day off from golf and participate in the St. Patrick's Day Parade before dining on some traditional Irish cuisine.

Both teams will return to the links on Tuesday to play the Waterville course, located on the scenic Ring of Kerry.

After packing up and moving on County Clare for a two-night stay, the Tigers will face the Doonberg Golf Course on Wednesday. The final day of play will be on Thursday as the teams will play at the Lahinch Golf Club on the Old Course.
