WESTFIELD, N.J. – The Towson University men's golf team wrapped up the opening round of the Georgetown Intercollegiate on Monday. The event, originally scheduled for 54 holes, was reduced to 36 due to inclement weather. The Tigers sit in 10th place after tallying 310 (+26) under rainy conditions.
Delaware currently leads the field with a combined score of 300 (+16), followed by Georgetown in second at 301 (+17). Harvard rounds out the podium, sitting at 302 (+18) after the first round.
Senior Jai Sheth leads the way for the Black & Gold, currently tied for ninth place after posting 75 (+4) in the first round, supported by two birdies.
Michael Matheson follows behind, tied for 15th place after tallying 76 (+5).
Sky Aung tied for 21st place after the first round, opening with 77 (+6).
Ariihau Faana sits in 51st place after posting 82 (+11). Adam Green rounds out Towson's lineup, tied for 52nd place after recording 83 (+12) on the first day.
