TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University women's swimming and diving program earned its first undefeated dual meet season since the program's debut in 1972 on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers defeated Johns Hopkins in the team's final home and dual meet of the season, 193-91.

"The women rose to the occasion this year," Head Coach
Pat Mead said. "Meet after meet, they were able to get up and race and do what we needed to as a team. So hats off to them for having an undefeated season. I give a lot of our other teams in the last five years a lot of credit for laying the foundation and recruiting to help get to this point. It's a celebration of not only this team but it's a celebration of some of our alumni that have helped our program get to this point."

Towson, now 10-0 and 4-0 in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), earned victories in all but one event against the Blue Jays, dropping the 100-yard freestyle by 29 hundredths of a second.

The Tigers started the meet strong, winning the opening 200-yard medley relay in 1:44.59. Seniors
Victoria Oslund and
Amanda Barber teamed with juniors
Charlotte Holz and
Jenna Van Camp for the win.

Oslund led the Tiger effort, winning all four of the events that she swam in. She finished the 100-yard butterfly in 56.40 and the 200-yard butterfly in 2:03.11. She grabbed a win in the closing 400-yard freestyle relay, teaming with Barber and fellow seniors
Liz Saint and
Tayor Paskoff for a time of 3:33.11.

Barber picked up her third victory of the day in the 50-yard freestyle (23.64).

Holz and Van Camp also earned multiple wins for the Tigers. Holz grabbed the 200-yard freestyle in 1:51.07 and the 200-yard individual medley (2:05.200. Van Camp finished the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:03.83 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:20.37.

Sophomore
Macey Arnold was victorious in the 500-yard freestyle (5:00.14) and the 1000-yard freestyle (10:14.80). Towson finished one, two, three in the 1000-yard freestyle with junior
Hannah Snyder (10:23.97) and freshman
Cori Morton (10:27.22) following behind Arnold.

The 200-yard backstroke was a solid event for the Tigers as they finished one, two, three. Junior
Christine Hammond finished in first-place with a time of 2:04.89 while Holz (2:05.60) and freshman
Kendall Krumenacker (2:07.24) finished second and third.

Krumenacker earned the win in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.85.

Senior
Lyndsey Dickson had an impressive day on the diving boards, winning both the one-meter and three-meter events. She recorded a score of 281.78 in the one-meter and 310.58 in the three-meter.

Towson welcomed Special Olympic Maryland athletes from their Fall Swim Clinic to Burdick Pool for the second time this season. The athletes had the chance to swim exhibition races and show the skills they gained during the clinics.

The Tigers also recognized their seniors before the meet as it was the student-athletes final competition at home.

Towson will travel to Bucknell on Saturday, Jan. 31 for the Bison Invite featuring Army, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
