BALTIMORE, Md. – Towson University gymnast
Vicki Vesecky has been named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Specialist of the Week, league officials announced. The honors are the first of Vesecky's career.
"I am so proud of Vicki and all the hard work she has put forth to get to this point," Head Coach
Vicki Chliszczyk said. "Her fire, determination and passion for gymnastics and this program has had a positive impact on all of us and I'm glad to see her recognized by our conference opponents. She has worked extremely hard over the last few years and this award is much deserved."
Vesecky earned the award after tying her career-high on bars with a 9.825. Her score was the second-highest Tiger score and tied her for fifth-place for the event.
Her score helped the Tigers finish third at home in a quad meet that featured Michigan State, Rutgers and Yale. The Tigers moved to 9-10 on the season with the finish.
Towson returns to action on Sunday, March 8 as the Tigers travel to Brown for a tri meet that also features Lindenwood at 1 p.m.
