The Series: Fairfield
Friday's game will be just the second-ever meeting between the Tigers and the Stags. The two meet in Fairfield, Connecticut for the first time. Last year, Fairfield edged Towson 1-0 on Sept. 5 at the Tiger Soccer Complex. Fairfield struck the game-winning goal in the 11th minute, putting only four shots on goal. Erin Quinn made three saves in goal for the Tigers.

The Series: Iona
Sunday marks the third time Towson has squared off against the Gaels of Iona. Towson leads the all-time series 2-0-0, out-scoring Iona 10-0, including a 7-0 win in Towson as part of the first-ever meeting between the two back in 1998. That game was also played on Sept. 6, as is this year's match. The Tigers challenge the Gaels for the first time since a 3-0 win on Aug. 25, 2013, a 3-0 win at the Tiger Soccer Complex.

Pair of Weekly Honors for Pinkney
After striking twice in a 1-0-1 week, junior forward Natalia Pinkney picked up a pair of weekly honors earlier this week. The Perkasie, Pennsylvania native was tabbed Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Women's Soccer Player of the Week, while picking up honorable mention plaudits on Top Drawer Soccer's Division I Women's Team of the Week. Pinkney notched the game-tying goal in the 78th minute against defending Big South Conference champion High Point University, followed by the game-winner in Towson's first-ever victory over Villanova University on Sunday.

Sebolao Named Towson Athlete of the Week
Junior goalkeeper Taylor Sebolao paced Towson women's soccer to a 1-0-1 week, drawing with defending Big South Conference champion High Point 2-2 on Friday, followed by a clean sheet against BIG EAST foe Villanova on Sunday. Sebolao made 17 saves in her first two starts at the Tiger Soccer Complex, including nine on Sunday in not only the Tigers' first-ever win over Villanova, but Sebolao's first career shutout. Sebolao finished the week with a 0.90 goals against average.

Home Openers Under Paynter
With last weekend's draw against High Point, ninth-year head coach Greg Paynter's record improved to 5-3-1 all-time in his time at Towson. Friday's tie was the first time a Paynter-coached squad played to a draw in its first home game of the year. It also snapped a two-game slide in home openers for the Tigers.

Towson Versus the MAAC
All-time the Tigers have controlled their matches against opponents currently aligned with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Towson is 11-2-1 against schools currently in the MAAC, leading Rider 4-0-0, Monmouth 2-1-0, Iona 2-0-0 and 1-0-0 against New York schools Niagara, Canisius and Marist. The Tigers drew in their only meeting with Manhattan, while Fairfield is the only team in the MAAC with a winning record (1-0-0) against the Tigers. Towson have never played Qunnipiac, Siena or Saint Peter's.
