TOWSON, Md. – The Towson women's swimming and diving team closed out its regular season with a 165-135 victory over Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival Delaware on Saturday at Burdick Pool. The Tigers won nine events and earned 42 top-five finishes.

HOW IT HAPPENED (DIVING)- Emily Wilson won the one-meter event for the Tigers, scoring 260.70. Hannah Ostrem was the runner-up with a score of 258.15.
- Natalee Szopo was the runner-up in the three-meter event with a score of 261.53. Ostrem finished third, scoring 261.00.

HOW IT HAPPENED (SWIMMING)- The Tigers opened the meet by taking the top two spots in the 200-yard medley relay. The relay team of Charlotte Holz, Jenna Van Camp, Tara Goss and Melissa Toy combined for a time of 1:45.79 to win the event.
- Ashley Illenye won the 1000-yard freestyle in 10:18.41 with Christine Hammond following for second-place (10:20.85).
- Illenye also took first-place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:05.29.
- Holz earned a victory in the 100-yard backstroke, timing 57.40. Hayley Sutton came in third-place with a time of 58.34.
- Holz also came in second-place in the 100-yard freestyle (52.19).
- Van Camp won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:03.13. Sara Lacusky finished third (1:06.62) for the event.
- Van Camp also won the 200-yard breaststroke (1:18.93) followed by Hannah Snyder in second-place (2:24.16).
- Snyder took first-place in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:09.08.
- Natalie Obando earned a victory in the 200-yard backstroke, timing 2:04.19.
- Toy was the runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.66) while Snyder finished third (1:55.08).
- Caitlin Manthe finished in second-place in the 50-yard freestyle, timing 24.77
- Christine Hammond came in second for the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:06.52.
- Olivia Evans placed third in the 100-yard butterfly (59.26).
- The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Toy, Manthe, Kara Powell and Holz wrapped up the meet with a second-place finish (3:33.59).

Towson begins postseason action with the two-day CAA Diving Championships which take place from Feb. 20-21 at Delaware's Rawstrom Natatorium. The CAA Swimming Championships will be held on Feb. 24-27 at the Collegiate School Aquatics Center in Richmond, Virginia.
