I'LL TAKE THAT: Junior guard
Raven Bankston used her quick hands to the Tigers' advantage on Friday night. Bankston recorded a career-high seven steals against William & Mary.
It was the fourth time this season and ninth time in her career that Bankston has recorded three or more steals in a game. It was also the most steals by a Tiger since
Nyree Williams had seven swipes against LIU Brooklyn during the 2013-14 season.
CLEARING THE GLASS: Towson outrebounded William & Mary 36-34 on Friday night. Nine of the 12 Tigers who played in the game grabbed at least one rebound. That group was led by junior guard
Raven Bankston and sophomore center
Daijha Thomas who had seven rebounds each against the Tribe. Towson is 3-2 this season when it wins the rebounding battle. Towson won the rebounding battle and earned the win against UMBC, Western Illinois and Northeastern. The Tigers won the rebounding battle but suffered a loss against North Florida and William & Mary.
WELCOME BACK: The Towson bench received a lift as sophomore guard
Shanea Butler made her first appearance of the season on Friday night. Butler who missed the first 12 games of the season, played 10 minutes her season debut. She had two points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal while providing the Tigers with a spark off the bench.
MISS ASSIST: The Tigers have proven to have multiple threats running the offense this season. Five Tigers have recorded 15 or more assists this season and three of those players have 30 or more assists. Senior
Dominique Johnson leads the team with 33 helpers while sophomore
Breonn Hughey has 32 assists this season. Johnson's 33 helpers this season gives her 294 assists for her career. She needs six more assists to become the 10th player in program history with 300 career assists. Hughey's 32 assists this year have given her 165 career assists. She needs 28 assists to move into the top 20 for career assists.
